Brittany arrived just in the knick of time to get her bridal session started in downtown Charleston. We started at the ever beautiful St. Philips Church and chased the light all the way to the College of Charleston to finish out her gorgeous bridal session!
Starting off on iconic Church street we just had the most delicious, warm, filling light. Because I had shot with Brittany before she was super comfortable right off the bat so we were able to head right into the session- like with every session I try to keep things going and not stay in the same place for too long so we are able to maximize our session time! From the street leading up to Saint Philips, we then went to Chalmers and found some gorgeous (but super hard to walk on, especially in heels or wedges- you're a trooper Britt) cobblestone streets. One of my favorite things about Chalmers is the pink houses- there are actually two pink houses on each side of Chalmers and when the sun hits them just right they light up the whole street- perfect for a super simple, romantic and feminine bridal session! The best part about shooting in Downtown Charleston is that every corner there is something different- so you don't have to go too too far to get some gorgeous backgrounds- and Charleston homes are just so Charming that they make the best backdrops!
The best thing about CofC's campus- other than it's charming beauty- is that you get to really take in all Charleston has to offer- old buildings, gorgeous trees, and cast iron gates in a small space. We spent a good thirty minutes here until there was absolutely no light left and took in the gorgeous colors and textures of this iconic CofC spot!
For the last few shots in her bridal session- we went to a little walkway right outside this gorgeous iron gate, where we were able to capture the little bit of light that we had left and capture Brittany's fun, bubbly personality!
And that's a wrap! So thankful for this beautiful woman, her captivating, kind personality and that she chose me as her photographer! It was such an honor to capture these beautiful memories for her and her family!
